Mission
Hively builds meaningful connections with families and communities, ensuring access to resources every child in Alameda County needs to thrive.
Volunteers
Can help with various tasks including helping us keep our family resource centers clean and tidy for families, sorting through our donations, prepping our Hive on Wheels (mobile family resource center) hosting resource drives and more.
All volunteers are welcome. Most of our volunteer tasks are suitable for folks age 10 and up.
Opportunities we always have available!
- Flyer Distribution: Spread the word by helping us distribute flyers to community spots like laundromats, grocery stores, churches, and libraries in the Tri-Valley and Tri-Cities. We’ll provide you with locations and materials.
- Mobile Family Resource Center (FRC): Volunteer with our Mobile FRC at events, interacting with families, organizing children’s books and clothing, and handing out flyers to raise awareness about our resources.
- Community Events: Be an ambassador for Hively at local events! Encourage parents to follow us on social media, lead children’s activities, and assist with setting up and packing up outreach materials.
- Tri-Valley FRC: Help sort donations, fold children’s clothing, and lend a hand with seasonal events at our Tri-Valley Family Resource Center.
