Get Involved with From the Heart
The From the Heart Schools Program offers meaningful volunteer opportunities for students of all ages. Volunteers support awareness, inclusion, and fundraising efforts that help provide wheelchairs to people in need around the world.
Wheelchair foundation is a nonprofit organization leading an international effort to raise awareness of the need and challenges of people living with physical disabilities, to promote the joy of giving, foster Global friendships, and deliver a wheelchair to every child, teen, an adult who needs one but can’t afford one or does not have access to a wheelchair. For these individuals, wheelchair foundation brings HOPE, mobility, and freedom. Wheelchair foundations school program has brought service and emotional learning resources to more than 50 local schools reaching tens of thousands of students. We have all you need to run a successful and impactful program.

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

Supporting school and community events

Assisting with bake sales, farmers markets, and fundraising activities

Creating and selling handmade items (bracelets, kits, crafts)

Elementary School (Grades K–5)

Helping with crafts, bracelet-making, and kits

Assisting teachers during Ability Awareness activities
