Mission
“Be SMART for Kids” is a gun safety campaign by Everytown for Gun Safety, focused on preventing child gun deaths by encouraging responsible gun storage and normalizing conversations about gun safety, using the acronym: Secure guns, Model responsible behavior, Ask about unsecured guns, Recognize the role in suicide, Tell peers to be SMART.
We welcome volunteers to help us at tabling events where we raise awareness about the importance of secure storage of firearms. We table at Farmers Markets, at community events, at schools, and more.
High School Students looking for Community Service Hours are welcome.
